Micro Face Lift
A quicker operation, usually with less downtime, less bruising, less pain and a quicker recovery compared to the Mini facelift.
For laxity of the skin of the lower neck and upper neck, a Mini facelift (q.v.) is the usual solution. However, there are occasions when a smaller procedure will suffice.
Most commonly this is some years after a Mini facelift when normal ageing has led to a little loose skin, but not enough for a further full Mini facelift.
The other indications are when there has been some pull down of the earlobe, or a stretched scar below the earlobe after previous surgery.
The Micro facelift is performed under a local anaesthetic. There are normally scars that can be followed, and the new scar will be only around the earlobe.
There will be tiny blue stitches that need to be removed at 1 week, rather than a buried stitch. The operation is quicker, usually with less downtime, less bruising, less pain and a quicker recovery compared to the Mini facelift.
